ITINERARY

Start the day early with a packed breakfast and drive to Nairobi National Park, arriving as the gates open (6:30 AM). Enjoy a morning birding drive through diverse habitats including grasslands, wetlands, and acacia bush. Spot savannah species as well as raptors soaring above the plains.

Birds To Look Out For: Secretary Bird, Crowned Crane, Ostrich, Lilac-breasted Roller, Martial Eagle, Kori Bustard, African Jacana, and Yellow-throated Longclaw.

You may also see mammals such as buffaloes, giraffes, black rhinos, lions, and zebras.

Mid-morning break at the Nairobi Safari Walk for coffee and a short trail walk to observe smaller woodland species.

After lunch at a nearby restaurant or picnic within the park, proceed to either Karura Forest or Paradise Lost for forest and wetland birding. Here, you’ll explore shaded trails, waterfalls, and riverside habitats rich with colorful birds.
