ITINERARY
Upon arrival in Nairobi, meet your guide and transfer to Nairobi National Park for a full-day birding experience. Despite being close to the city, the park hosts over 500 bird species.
Birds to Spot: Secretary Bird, Kori Bustard, Lilac-breasted Roller, African Crowned Crane, and Hartlaub’s Bustard.
Accommodation: Dinner & Overnight: Eka Hotel / Nairobi Tented Camp.
After breakfast, drive south toward Amboseli National Park at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon birding session near the swamps.
Birds to Spot: Taveta Golden Weaver, African Jacana, Pangani Longclaw, and Malachite Kingfisher.
Accommodation: Dinner & Overnight: Kibo Safari Camp / Amboseli Serena Lodge.
Early morning and late afternoon birding around Lake Amboseli and the Enkongo Narok Swamp. Birds to Spot: Grey Crowned Crane, Rufous Chatterer, Black-winged Stilt, and Yellow-billed Stork.
Wildlife includes elephants, lions, and cheetahs against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Accommodation: Meals & Overnight: Same as Day 2.
Depart after breakfast heading east to Tsavo West National Park. Enjoy a game and birding drive en route to Mzima Springs, a lush oasis known for hippos and fish eagles.
Birds to Spot: Golden Pipit, Fischer’s Starling, African Hawk-Eagle, and Purple Roller.
Accommodation: Dinner & Overnight: Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge / Ngulia Lodge.
Morning birding drive before departing for Tsavo East. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon birding around the Galana River and the Yatta Plateau area.
Birds to Spot: Somali Ostrich, Rosy-patched Bushshrike, Black-headed Plover, and Red-necked Falcon.
Accommodation: Dinner & Overnight: Ashnil Aruba Lodge / Sentrim Tsavo Camp.
After breakfast, drive towards Kenya’s coast, arriving at Arabuko-Sokoke Forest in the afternoon — one of Africa’s most important coastal bird habitats. Evening birding walk in the forest edges.
Birds to Spot: Sokoke Scops Owl (endemic), Amani Sunbird, Chestnut-fronted Helmetshrike, and East Coast Akalat.
Accommodation: Dinner & Overnight: Turtle Bay Beach Club / Mida Creek Eco Camp.
Morning birding in Arabuko-Sokoke Forest followed by an afternoon at Mida Creek, a tidal lagoon known for its waders and migratory species.
Birds to Spot: Crab-plover, Lesser Sand Plover, Greater Flamingo, Terek Sandpiper, and Mangrove Kingfisher.

Enjoy a relaxed morning bird walk before transferring to Malindi or Mombasa for your onward flight or beach extension.
