Leave Nairobi in the morning and drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley, with a brief stop at the viewpoint for panoramic photos of this spectacular geological wonder. Continue past Narok town with a picnic lunch en route, arriving at the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in the afternoon. Upon arrival, check into your camp/lodge and relax. If time permits, head out for a late afternoon game drive to spot the first wildlife — including the Black-Maned Lions, Elephants, Cheetahs, Leopards, Buffalos, and other plains game. After breakfast, depart for a morning game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro River, where you might spot elephants cooling off, lions resting under acacia trees, and leopards hiding in rocky outcrops. Return to camp for lunch and leisure, followed by an afternoon game drive to search for the Samburu Special Five — the Reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Grevys Zebra, Gerenuk, and Somali Ostrich.

After breakfast, depart Samburu and drive to Nanyuki, at the foothills of Mount Kenya, Africa’s second-highest peak. Clients wishing to climb Mt. Kenya may be dropped off here. Enjoy lunch en route and continue the drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon (around 4:30–5:00 PM). Drop-off at your hotel or airport — marking the end of a truly unforgettable Kenyan safari experience.
