ITINERARY

Pick-up from your Nairobi hotel at 8:00 am and transfer to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Samburu National Reserve, departing at 10:00 am. Enjoy breathtaking views of Kenya’s lush farmlands and the glacier-capped peaks of Mount Kenya before descending into the arid northern plains of Samburu.

Arrive at Samburu airstrip around 11:00 am, where your safari guide will meet and transfer you to your lodge or tented camp — such as Larsen’s Camp or similar. Check in and enjoy lunch as you take in the tranquil river views.

At 4:00 pm, depart for an evening game drive. This is your chance to spot elephants cooling off in the river, graceful giraffes, and predators preparing for the night’s hunt. Return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Begin your day with an early morning game drive at 6:30 am, when the reserve is alive with activity. Return for breakfast and relax at the camp or enjoy the pool overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River.

After lunch, head out for another game drive to explore more of Samburu’s diverse habitats. The reserve is home to wildlife species unique to this region, such as the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, beisa oryx, and the long-necked gerenuk.

Watch the sun set over the rugged hills before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, check out and transfer to the Samburu airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi, departing around 10:30 am. Arrive at Wilson Airport around 12:00 noon, where you will be met and transferred back to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey.
