ITINERARY
Depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for elephants, lions, giraffes, and ancient baobabs. Enjoy your first safari drive and get acquainted with the wildlife. Dinner & Overnight: Tarangire Budget Campsite.
Activities: Scenic drive & local Maasai village visit. After breakfast, head north to Lake Natron, a remote soda lake with thousands of flamingos and dramatic volcanic scenery. Activities: Afternoon forest & crater hike. Drive to Arusha National Park. Explore the park’s lush forests, small lakes, and Ngurdoto Crater. Optional short hike to see black-and-white colobus monkeys and buffalo. Evening arrival at campsite. Dinner & Overnight: Arusha NP Budget Campsite.
Activities: Afternoon Serengeti game drive Depart early for the Serengeti, entering via the Ngorongoro Highlands. Begin game drives en-route to your campsite in central Serengeti (Seronera), spotting giraffes, zebras, elephants, and predators. Dinner & Overnight: Seronera Public Campsite.
Spend the entire day exploring central Serengeti’s plains. Morning and afternoon drives provide excellent chances to spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, and large herds of herbivores. Picnic lunch inside the park. Dinner & Overnight: Seronera Public Campsite.
Activities: Scenic drive & optional Ngorongoro Highlands stop After breakfast, depart Serengeti for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy optional scenic stops and photographs along the highlands. Arrive at the crater rim in the late afternoon for sunset views. Dinner & Overnight: Simba Campsite (Ngorongoro Crater Rim).
Activities: Full-day crater tour. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a 4–5 hour game drive. Look for rhinos, lions, elephants, hippos, buffalos, and zebras. Picnic lunch inside the crater. Ascend and drive back to Arusha, arriving late afternoon. End of Safari.
