ITINERARY
After breakfast, meet your driver-guide and set off on a scenic drive southwest to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Enjoy the changing landscapes — from rolling hills to terraced farmlands — with a stop at the Uganda Equator for photos and a coffee break.
Continue through the highlands known as the “Switzerland of Africa,” arriving at your lodge in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Accommodation Options:
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing and allocation of gorilla families. Set off into the dense rainforest led by expert trackers to locate your assigned gorilla group.
The trek can take from 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ movement, but the reward is beyond words — an unforgettable hour in the presence of these gentle giants. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation, or visit a nearby community for a cultural experience. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
After breakfast, begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe, with en route lunch and photo stops at scenic viewpoints and the Equator crossing. Arrive in the evening — marking the end of your incredible gorilla trekking adventure in the heart of Africa.
